Export your data from TipSee
Open TipSee and look for an Export option in its settings or share menu. Most tip trackers can email you a spreadsheet or send your shift log to another app. Export your full history and send it somewhere you can open on a computer or in a spreadsheet app (email it to yourself, or save it to Files/Drive).
Save it as a CSV file
If you received a spreadsheet or an email attachment, open it in any spreadsheet app — Apple Numbers, Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets — and choose Export / Save As → CSV. If TipSee already gave you a .csv file, you can skip this step.
Match your columns to TipDiary's
TipDiary reads these columns. You don't have to rename anything in advance — during import you'll map each of your columns to one of these fields:
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
date | Shift date (e.g. 2026-07-04 or 7/4/2026) |
job | Job or employer name |
cash_tips | Cash tips for the shift |
card_tips | Credit/debit card tips |
tip_in | Tips you received from a tip pool (tip-in) |
tip_out | Tips you paid out to others (tip-out) |
hours | Hours worked |
sales | Your total sales for the shift (optional) |
note | Anything else you want to remember (optional) |
Import into TipDiary
In TipDiary, go to Settings → Import CSV, pick your file, then map each column to the matching TipDiary field. Check the preview so amounts and dates look right, then confirm the import. Your shifts land in your history, and the No Tax on Tips math updates automatically.
